The past few years London has attracted some of the most important investors; in 2015 the total VC investment surpassed £1 billion. An exciting lifestyle, global workforce and wide network of tech hubs and accelerators also help the UK's capital continue to attract young businesses.


 Hult International Business School has experienced an increase of interest from students regarding entrepreneurship and the start-up world, the purpose for this professional panel and Start-up workshop is to give a better understanding of various tools that can be used once a great idea has been generated.

 You don't want to miss this exceptional Professional Panel discussion, “Start-ups: What are the investors looking for” moderated by Charlotte Mason, Angel Investor and Professor of Entrepreneurship at Hult IBS. She has helped 1000s of companies raise seed funding and has an angel investment portfolio of 14 companies.  She is also a Non-Executive Director of Pavegen that recently closed £2m of equity crowdfunding.

Panellists are:

Peter Cowley - Entrepreneur/angel investor; ‘UK Angel Investor of the Year in 2014-2015’ is a Cambridge University graduate who founded a dozen technology and construction businesses and has angel invested in over 45 start-ups and was Angel of the Year in 2015.  He is a non-executive director of five of those and is a Fellow in Entrepreneurship of the Cambridge Judge Business School.
David Fogel – Head of Acceleration & Deputy Director at Wayra UK – Telefónica’sinternational startup accelerator - nurtures and kindles the blazing potential of the world’s most exciting startups. As of today, Wayra has received more than 21,000 ICT projects to be accelerated and has invested in more than 400 start-ups, becoming one of the largest technology accelerators on earth.
Thomas Day - Business Unit Leader - London/UK at Venture Resource Group Scaale Inc. Scaale is dedicated to helping companies grow, through Capital (from $100k to $15m), Talent, Sales and Space. He has helped numerous companies to fundraise, consolidate existing business and expand into new markets. He is a board advisor for several other tech companies, and an international judge, mentor and panelist.
Laurin Hainy - General Manager at Le Studio Venture Capital. Parisian Startup Studio and VC - Backed by the Founders of Pricematch, a yield management startup that has been acquired by in May 2015. Co-founded two startups, one in Sweden one in the Netherlands, before joining Le Studio as Manager.
